Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Winners!!!

Yes, I said winners.  I decided to give away both the boy and girl set just because I’m amazed by how many comments I had, a whopping 381!  Holy cats!

I have another announcement before I go on, I’m so proud to say that I now have over 100 followers! It’s crazy!  I was so thrilled that Care over at Obsessively Stitching became my 100 follower, that’s exciting in and of itself.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by to enter the giveaway and then decided to have a look around, I’m glad you did.  It’s been super fun reading all the great ideas for tutorials, I guess there’s a major need to boy’s stuff.  It’ll be a challenge, but I think I might be able to figure something out.

Meanwhile, I do have a few tutorials planned that I’ve had on my to-do list that I’m really excited to share!

And now the winners:

The winner of the ‘boy’ package/fabric is:

The winner of the ‘girl’ package is:

Congrats Sara & Leigh – I sent each of you an email, so if you’d kindly give me your snail mail address I’ll get them shipped right away!  Thanks again to everyone who entered, I wish I could have sent something to everyone!

Emily’s Quilt

Yay!  I’m so excited how this quilt turned out.  I ended up buying a new walking foot after Natalie’s quilt was finished.  I was so nervous to quilt the darn thing that I kept putting it off.  So one night I just forced myself to start.

Besides changing the walking foot I did a few other things different than last time:  I changed the stitch length on my machine to 3, taped the backing to the floor before pin basting, and pinned the heck out of it!  I can’t believe the difference.

I did still make a few mistakes of course, don’t tell Emily. ha.  I somehow managed to get the backing crooked and that ended up making one end of the backing a little short.  All in all I’m super pleased with the quilt and think it’s pretty darn cute.

Don’t ask me why I choose so much pink.  I don’t even really see Emily as a ‘pink’ kind of girl, she’s more blue, but you know.  The quilt measures about 36″x46″ and hand stitching the binding only took me a little more than one movie this time.

I’m sure there will be more quilts to come.
