giant i-spy pillow

I’ve been sucked in by the cuteness of I-spy stuff!  Thanks to a couple people of course.  Of course you’ve all seen Care‘s lovely I-spy creations and maybe participated in some of her I-spy swaps, right?!
Well, the other day I opened my reader and there was a post by Amy from Diary of a Quilter.  She had put together these lovely I-spy packs for her etsy shop.  You know I had to scoop one up for myself, who can resist a little fun retro goodness?  Not me.

The girls and I had fun flipping through the cute little stack of fabrics.  I secretly plotted out what I would be making.  Someday I might make an I-spy quilt (especially if Amy adds another round to her shop), but for now I was hooked on making some pillows!  If you’ve been a reader for a while, you know how I love a good pillow.
So this was the first pillow (there’s a couple more in the works as I write this) and I LOVE it!  LOVE!  I’m pretty sure when I finished sewing it, I squealed.  Kinda weird, I know.  Anyway, I also had my first real try at free motion quilting.  I think it was pretty successful, you can’t even see the spots where I messed up, so that makes it even better.  Love this euro size pillow, definitely one of my go to pillow forms now.
And of course you can’t go wrong with an invisible zipper!

I love how it adds a bit of brightness and cheer to the space and it’s huggable.  ♥
