Yellow Redwood Tote

Yellow Redwood Tote - Noodlehead Yellow Redwood Tote - Noodlehead Yellow Redwood Tote - Noodlehead Thanks so much for your excitement over my newest pattern, the Redwood Tote. I’m so glad you like it! I figured I’d better share more pictures of the yellow Redwood Tote today. When I was sewing samples I just had to pull this beautiful yellow Echino Kokka print that I had picked up from Fancy Tiger Crafts last fall. It seemed perfect for Spring! And boy do we need sunshine, I feel like the winter was so gray that this happy yellow really makes me smile!

I was asked about the reasoning behind some of my pattern names, and this one is kind  of special so I figured I should share it here. This past fall my parents bought a new house (a literal log cabin in the woods) and sold their home they had lived in for the past 40 plus years – my childhood home. I’m not a sentimental person when it comes to objects, but I do love the memories and photos I have from that house. So this pattern is named the Redwood Tote after the street I grew up on, Redwood East.

I believe the yellow print is sold out, but Fancy Tiger carries a ton of beautiful canvas prints. If you’re looking for this same print I’ve seen it a few places in some other colorways: Bijou Lovely, Miss Matatabi has a great selection of Japanese canvas prints, or check your local quilt shop, there’s so many great canvas prints now (looking at you Wildwood by Rifle Paper!).

I also restocked the Antique Brass hardware kit if you’re looking for hardware.

It’s so special that you named the tote after the street you grew up on. I remember being emotional about the childhood home I grew up in when my oldest sister finally sold it. I look forward to making my Redwood tote soon since your patterns are always my favorite!

I love it in yellow! I just bought this and am going to try to make one this week using the cotton + steel cat canvas that just came out. We’ll see how it goes!
