Cozy Jammies

Knit Jammies by Anna Graham using Cloud9 Knits and Alison Glass Knit

I finally stole some time to make a pair of pajamas for Natalie. Emily got hers several weeks ago and I’ve had the fabric set aside for Natalie’s pajamas ever since. Having forgotten to pick up some coordinating knit for the trim, I was super happy that Stitch Supply Co. had a selection of Alison Glass’ knits when I went to visit this past weekend. Ann has such a cute shop and such a supportive community there. It was great to see such an excited and encouraging turnout at her ribbon cutting ceremony.

I’m not sure why I put it off so long. Both the top and the pants aren’t terribly time-consuming. They sew up without much fuss and because I’ve made them both before it’s even more fun to put them together. I did sew the size 8 for this Field Trip Raglan, even though Natalie is almost 10 I felt the sizing to be generous enough to make her the 8. And I love the fit on her. I actually made Emily’s in the same size, so it’s quite big on her (she’s 7). I also added a strip of twill tape at the back neckline to disguise the neckline seam and make it more comfy.

So glad I picked this pile up before walking out the door to the retreat. It ended up being the perfect project to sew. She loves her cozy jammies.
