Happy Friday to you! I am so thankful that it’s the first day of Spring! I’m also really grateful to each and every one of you who has read my blog, or tried one of my tutorials or patterns, or just enjoys sewing as much as me!
Last week I taught a group of wonderful women at the Sewcial Lounge in Madison, WI how to make the Divided Basket. They all made such gorgeous versions! Every time I see a new basket pop up, I am in awe of the beautiful fabric choices and creative touches you all add.
I finished up my step-out basket yesterday and was really wanting to give back to the community. So I’m giving away this basket and filling it with scraps!

I am fascinated by the color schemes you choose for your projects, the end product always looks so neat! I’m currently working on the Caravan Tote and am amazed at how much easier your pattern is to understand and follow than some of the name brand patterns you find in craft stores!

This is my go to baby gift now, filled with bibs and burp cloths, etc. I made my first patchwork version recently and it’s such a great use for fussy cuts!

Agree- I love seeing the fabric mixes that I see these baskets in! I have made one of these baskets for each of my friends when they had a new baby- so of course when I got pregnant I got really picky with what fabric to use for my own basket. Well I took too long to decide and my little girl came very early- now I don’t have a basket of my own yet! Loving the combo you have and especially the chambray dot!

I’ve been trying to pick out fabric for my second divided basket or possibly second and third so I can keep my vintage patterns in them and I saw you had a pattern in yours and it answered the would they fit question for me (number one holds diapers). Your designs are so versatile when it comes to fabric choice I love seeing what people do with them.
We have a divided basket– made by my mom– that holds baby toys and is a favorite toy itself. I can think of 50 uses for another one. And I bet you have amazing scraps!

This is great, I’ve made other bins but never a divider. I’ll check out this pattern for sure. It would make a great gift . . .and at least a couple for me! What I love about functional items like this is I get really good by the time I make the third one and it is one of those things where you can use several so no waste!
