I had the pleasure of sewing up the Aster Cardigan from the Willow & Co. pattern collection. My friend Vanessa of Little Big Girl Studio designed this super cute cardi! I had been eagerly awaiting the release of this collection and Vanessa did an amazing job!
I’m a fan of having enough information to make something, but yet not so much information that it gets overwhelming. Know what I mean? It was straightforward and had every bit of information I needed to finish. I think the cardi took only a little over an hour for me to sew once I had all the pieces cut. And there’s only a few pieces, so that’s always a relief!
I chose to use this pretty Laguna Stretch Knit Jersey in Pepper from Robert Kaufman. I had some leftover from making some leggings for myself and I knew it would be comfy for my daughter. I extended the sleeve length from a cropped sleeve to long sleeves only because I knew we could probably get more use out of it. Plus we can always shorten them! Thanks Willow & Co. for letting me join along!
Be sure to stop by and check out their lookbook here. And check out all the patterns available in their shop.
There’s a giveaway as well! Willow & Co is also selling fabric! It’s the same fabric used to make all the garments in the Lookbook. Throughout the tour you can enter to win 2 yards of fabric as well as your choice of a pattern from the collection. (the giveaway is open internationally, although if won outside of the US or Canada, the winner will be given store credit to www.willowandcopatterns.com instead of fabric) To enter just leave a comment below. Thank you!

These pictures are so adorable! What a stylish model you have! 🙂
Clover shorts. Senna tote. And that cute cardi you sewed. I love the simple lines of the cardi. But it looks so dressed up!
I like the Fawn Lily Tunic & Dress!
Your cardi is super cute and the fabric looks so comfy!
Such and adorable cardi. Makes me wish I had a girl to sew for. But since i have a little guy, the Hawthorn Zip or the Kudzu short patterns would be awesome.
super cute cardigan, though I think the model steals the show!
I like the Kudzu shorts. Those could easily be used for my son given the right fabric.
The cardigan looks lovely – I’m sure my daughter would love one, although it would have to be in pink – pink pink pink all the way!
I like the Persimmon Dress and Top pattern!
I love the Clover Shorts, but I think the Aster Cardigan is my favorite!
Love the cardi, but I’m thinking the Lilly dress would quickly become a favorite for my little one!

The Saint James interlock knit is just begging for me to make a simple shift dress for myself!
The clover shorts are nice, shame it’s not my size! I’d probably get the Senna Tote pattern.
The senna tote looks good with a zippered top to keep things secure. Looking forward to that pattern release. Cindy firstname.lastname@example.org
