Yay!!! I’m super excited about my newest pattern! It’s been a while! So when my kids inspired me to make this project, I jumped right in. I’ll talk about my original inspiration and then chat about all the other things this case is amazing for, okay?
You know about Rainbow Loom, right? Well, if you have kids or grandkids or neighbor’s kids or nieces or nephews you might already. It’s been the thing to do!
My girls started coming home from school with these fun rubber band bracelets a few months ago and they haven’t stopped since. Unfortunately, the box the loom came in doesn’t really do it for me. I like to be a little more organized and have something a little more durable to tote around.
So that’s where this pattern started and now it’s evolved into a multi-purpose case for just about anything! The pattern has two different pocket configurations to suit a variety of anything you’d want to carry around. The one version holds a loom and a case (or additional loom), the loom hook and has a zippered compartment for all the odds and ends.
Don’t have a Rainbow Loom or don’t care? The alternate pocket version is so perfect for art supplies, with lots of great easy-to-access pockets, it’ll be the perfect grab and go item. I also made one for sewing supplies! It fits just about every sewing notion and supply I’d want to take along on a sewing get together with friends. I’ll show the sewing one once the pattern is released!
Anyway, I hope to have everything set for Friday! So see you then! And hopefully I’ll come up with a good name for it by then, too!
I love it Anna.
So nice!
Eek, that looks awesome! My boys would love toting them round with their art supplies (and doubtless the odd toy car thrown in). Can’t wait for the pattern release!
Can’t wait! I was wanting something like this for road trips for my kids.
Perfect!! Can’t wait to make one, Anna! ♥
seriously fabulous!!!
Genius!!! My kids rainbow looms and all those little rubber bands are driving me bonkers! Thank you 🙂
Anna…this pattern is going to be a must buy for me! We need some serious organization/travel/carrying solutions to our rainbow looms! Love it!
Loving the design! You usually name your patterns a descriptive name (like Handcraft Travel Case), but maybe a departure would be fun. You could name it after the daughter who inspired it instead 🙂
oh fun idea! Thank you!
I love these. The fabric with the rainbows and trees is so cute!
This looks so awesome! I need to make this one or two.. or more!
I love it!!!!!!!!!!
AMEN! This can’t come out soon enough
could you pleaseeeee tell me where did you get the multicolor triangles fabric? what is the name of the fabric? its sooo beautiful!
Yes! Sorry. It’s Outfoxed by Lizzy House. I’ll add the fabric info to the bottom of the post in a sec. 🙂
I can’t wait, either. What a great idea, and they look amazing. Hooray!
So nice, I love it
Teehee! So excited for this one to come out – fun to sew with so many ways to customize it just for your kid’s aesthetic/crafty needs. Can’t wait to see all the versions that start popping up. Good luck with the final touches! 🙂
That looks like it’d be awesome for knitting notions too. I love your fabric choices, Anna.
This is super cute! I could totally use it for my sewing supplies! Thanks for the pattern.
Your crafty carry all is perfect!!! I have been finding the little rubber bands in every nook and corner of our house (and beyond) so some organization is in order!! Great job on the design!!
Wow, it looks fantastic! Looking forward to it 🙂
Anna! They’re so awesome! I can see soooo many uses for these, and they’re adorable! Your patterns always have me going crazy with fabric scheming! You are so fantastic!! Oh and sorry for all the exclamation points! 🙂
EeeeekI have been trying to figure out how to design something very similar to this for myself to hold my cross stitching and supplies! Can’t wait for the pattern!
Oh my god it’s a handmade case for rainbow loom stuff. It just so happens we have rainbow loom stuff spread about everywhere. Adorable.
I love it! Can’t wait to see the whole pattern. I’ll be ordering this one for sure. I have two granddaughters. I don’t know if they do that rubber-band thing yet, but they definitely could use a little bag like this for traveling when they drive from San Antonio to DFW area to see their Mema and Papa!
Adorable! You could call it the craftalong case.
It’s perfect!!!! Can’t wait for the pattern!
LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE this! hopefully it’s ready in time for the birthday party that we’re heading to this weekend! would love to gift it to some rainbowlooming twins!
LOVE it! Perfect for my crafty kiddos!
What an awesome idea. I can’t wait to get a copy of the pattern and make a few.

I. Can’t. Wait. I’ve been searching online, on Etsy, on everywhere for the perfect take-along embroidery case. You’ve created it! And I will have it soon!!! 🙂

Can’t wait for this pattern to come out. I posted this on my facebook page – so many people are going to want to make one of these. I am going to be so happy to put all those elastics in one place!! Thanks Anna
Can’t wait to see the sewing case as these two are adorable. Since everyone wants one for taking on trips or to visit why not call it “Road Tripping Travelalong”!:)
Great idea! I have a few girls around here that could use one of these!
Great pattern!
So lovely!
Greetings from Finland!

Of course, it’s great! What strikes me at the moment is what useful things we can make with thread and fabric and sewing machines. Yay, sewing!
