Well, I barely made it to this week’s Project Sewn Challenge, one spot from getting voted off, whew. I’m happy to be able to have at least one more week of fun (and struggles, too).
I figured because I was born in the 70s that it would be my perfect choice for the Project Sewn: Era Challenge. Yes, I just barely squeaked by in late December of ’79, but still. I love the clothing styles of the 70s and it seems like it’s definitely coming back around in the fashion world. I knew I wanted to make a pair of jeans and the rest was a big question mark. I had sketched out the pants and waited around for the perfect fabric for the top to find me.
I’m going to do this week a little different. Today I’m flashing the whole outfit, but I’ll do a separate post for the top and the bottoms. I feel like there’s just too much to cover to mash it all into one post. Besides, I worked so hard on these, they each deserve their own post. So there! Plus there’s a limit to how many pictures and paragraphs you can use for the Project Sewn site and pictures are my favorite part, I want them all!
Hope you’ll be interested to read along. ♥ And please stop by today to start voting on the Project Sewn site.
I just voted for you because I really love your outfit! the fabroc you used for the top is gorgeous and the pants are fab!:) well done!
When that shirt crumbles off your body, can I have it? That is my very favorite Liberty print! I don’t know if I would’ve had the courage to cut into it. I absolutely adore your look!
my favorite liberty print, too

SOOOO amazing and it looks perfect on you! Reminds me of a young Sissy Spacek. Great job!!
Anna!!! You were meant to be born in the 70s! Okay, maybe that sounded weird, but you look so awesome in that top and jeans – you totally modernized them and are owning the whole outfit! Such beautiful photos too, and I can’t wait to hear all the dirty details in your next posts :).
Awesome! I love everything you did with those Jeans and top. Went and voted for you as well.
I love your fabric choices, you are just so classy!
Awesome outfit!! Are your pictures taken at Vets Park in W.S.??
Querida Anna

I hopped over and voted for you!
Amazing!
Wow! Love this outfit! Those jeans are awesome! Can’t wait to hear more about your outfit.
Well I’m so glad you’re still part of the competition because your outfit is amazing! Both pieces are perfectly made and very true to the era and to your personal style. Well done!
LOVE the pants. They look fab inside and out. Glad you’re still in!!
i LOVE this outfit! off to vote.
So beautiful! Looks amazing on you.
Love those pants! Traditional jeans are hard to make, but the trouser style looks great. I didn’t quite make it into the 70’s but I’m pretty sure I should have been, too 🙂
Again, I would totally wear this outfit. I’ve never sewn a pair of jeans before… looking forward to your future posts about this outfit…
definitely very 70s! but it looks great on you.
