I was honored to make a few things for quilt market that took place this past weekend in Houston, Texas. Cloud 9 Fabrics has always been a huge source of inspiration for me and their designs never disappoint.
This super sweet Goodnight Moon fabric floated my way and in no time at all really it was a Divided Basket. Again, I used the Pellon Craftfuse 809 in combination with Pellon Fusible Fleece. I feel like with using all quilting cottons, this combo really suits the fabrics well.
As soon as I showed a few people the basket, it was so fun to see how they recognized it as being one of their favorite children’s books. So, of course it makes such a great fabric for a baby room. And do you remember when Dana made a set of jammies based on the book? Adorable! Why not whip up a little outfit and tuck it inside for a baby gift along with the book, Goodnight Moon?! I love gifts like that.
I’ve got a few more things to share from market so I’ll be blogging about those in the next few posts, hope you don’t mind.
ps. Admitted chair hoarder here, isn’t that Heywood-Wakefield chair great? We picked it up for a great not-too-shabby deal at our local antique market. I love it so much.
I saw this at Market and thought it was super adorable!! I love that collection and I really want to make my son some pajamas out of it 🙂
Oh this is SO sweet – we read that book a lot at bedtime (mostly because I’M the one picking 😉 and the chair is amazing too. I have a Heywood-Wakefield table and chairs that are some of my most favorite objects ever!
Hehe… I was at my Cloud9 appointment and looked over and saw the basket I had to stop and take a picture right away 🙂 I can’t tell you how many Super Totes I saw.
I love the book goodnight moon. Your divided basket looks so good in that fabric. And the chair? Awesome! I noticed it right away. I always love your photography styling.
very pretty.
So lovely!

I love the fabric choice! Simply delightful – and I love gifts like that for new moms, so I might just be purchasing some of this fabric if I can.
Very cute, love the lining fabric :o)
I am so in love with this pattern! The fabric is adorable! -Marci @ Stone Cottage Adventures
Love the goodnight moon divided basket, but have to admit that the chair was the first thing that caught my eye. We have a Heywood-Wakefield desk that we inherited and I have been looking for pieces ever since. Haven’t found anything affordable yet. You are a lucky girl!
so pretty!
Great chair and great basket. Love it!!!
adorable! that was one of syd’s favorite books for a long time 🙂
I just made one of these using the Pearl Bracelets fabric – the directions were clear and easy to follow, and I am really pleased with my divided basket! I’ll be making another soon!
It’s a really great site you have here. Thank you for the effort to be so good for us (even though we don`t deserve it) and keep it up.
I use mine everyday that you made for Jillian!
