Sewing

you made this!

Isn’t that the best part of sewing?!  You finish something and it feels so good!  The icing on the cake is when people ask the question ‘You made this?’ and then of course follow it up with ‘Make me one!’  Seriously best ever feeling is to complete a project and just sit back and love what you made.   I swear the other night I finished something I just couldn’t stop smiling!

Well, eventually I’ll start sewing stuff again that I can blog about, but for now I just want to roll around in all your finished projects!

If you’ve made something using my patterns or tutorials add it to the flickr group, I love looking at the pictures you share so much.  I’m so lucky to be able to share sewing with you!

Side note: when are they going to fix flickr? ever? Since the new layout change I can’t even stand to upload my pics anymore, it’s so crazy looking.  ugh.  I really hate to complain but I used to love flickr so much more, just bummed I guess.

And if you’re still here, there’s some great deals on creative and crafty ebooks at Chronicle Books this month! It’s called Craft Month from Chronicle Eye Candy.  I own some of these books myself, and for the crazy low prices (yep, $3.99 or less) I would definitely buy these ebooks. Plus they take up less shelf space, ya know?  I’m really wanting to check out the Creative, Inc. book, I’m definitely interested in building my skills as a blogger and business person.  Anyway, just wanted to share that with you guys – links below the image will take you to the Chronicle site to purchase and download.

first of all, i’m really glad i’m not the only one who can’t stand to use flickr anymore! why did they go and ruin it like that?? the layout is so weird and terrible and not user friendly at all. okay, sorry, i’m done ranting. second, i love what you wrote about smiling after you finish something. that’s totally me, just sitting there by myself, admiring my finished whatever-it-is, and smiling like crazy. 🙂 xo

EEEEEEE! So proud to see my little berry basket full of pine cones on here! Now I have to figure out how to use Flickr better so my stuff doesn’t show up with the caption of my file name. 🙂

All your patterns are so wonderful ~ I’ve made a ton of the wide open zip bags and a few others. Love the berry basket and need to make some!
    Thanks for being so creative!

I’m having a rough day today – a nasty cold compounded with severe back pain. So seeing my picture up on your blog totally made my day. Thanks for putting a smile of my face today!

I loved sewing from your tutorial and also find lots of inspiration on your blog.

I love that feeling! I like to set out a new creation for a few days, where I can see it and pass by it, and smile every time. Even better is when someone you’ve made something for is as happy with it as you are. Lately I’m making a bunch of zippered pouches, and loving every one. I’d share photos, but I’m not on flickr 🙁 Thank you for all your inspiration!

thanks for such great patterns 🙂
