  17. Hi Anna

I was about to repin the Melody Miller fabric version of the Super Tote on Pinterest, then spotted something interesting in the front pocket! Thank you for letting us help you show off this great design – if you don’t mind, we’ll pop the pic and link on our Facebook page this weekend.

    Warmest wishes

  21. Marie says:

Absolutely love this tote! Of course I already bought the pattern, couldn’t wait for it to be for sale. All of your patterns are awesome. Easy to follow directions, great pictures and always amazingly cute!

  22. Galatina says:

Lovely bag. also love the cardigan – did you make it?

    1. Anna says:

I wish I could have made the cardi! It’s from Anthropologie a couple years ago. Someday my goal is to knit a cardigan. 🙂

  23. Eva says:

Just bought the pattern, yay! 🙂 Let’s see when I get around to make it, it really would be a great diaper bag!

  24. Bubiknits says:

Absolutely lovely!! Purchased along with the 241 tote, can’t wait to gather all the materials and make it!

  25. Franziska says:

bought it. Now I have only to buy two more patterns and am “up to date” with buying all patterns. 🙂

  26. Thank you so much for this pattern! I’ve been on the hunt for a big bag that I can convert into a camera bag for a flight home this summer. It needs to double as a diaper bag, and that’s a tall order!

Is there anyway you would suggest padding one or two of the pockets?

    1. Anna says:

You could definitely pad some of the pockets. I think you’d just have to fully line the pocket and then baste a thin foam or batting in between. 🙂

  27. nddphoto says:

I absolutely love this pattern and can’t wait to make one for myself. But I’m wondering – do you have a secret for how you pick out so many fabrics that all seem to go so well together? Do you use a collection or just eyeball it? What’s your preferred method for fabric shopping?

    1. Anna says:

Oh thank you! 🙂 I usually don’t make projects all from one fabric collection. Most of the time I buy what appeals to me and also pick up a lot of solids/semi-solid fabrics to mix in. As far as the actual shopping goes, I shop online and then when it comes time to make a project I pull from my stash! 🙂

  28. Any mothers that have made this, would you feel this would be big enough for a nappy-bag/hand-bag? I wouldn’t need it for a great deal of things other than a few nappies, change of clothes and my own bits and pieces etc…

    1. Anna says:

I’m a mom! It’s definitely roomier and more functional than any diaper bag I ever carried. Check out Spotted Stones Studio’s version, she’s already using it as a diaper bag. 🙂

  29. Cathy says:

I love your totes!!! All of them~ ♥♥♥

  30. Gina says:

Hi Anna, I would like to buy this pattern for a friend. Is there a way to do that? Thank you!

  31. i want a viewfinder one just like yours.
    call me a copycat.
    i’m totally okay with that.

  32. Lydia says:

I LOVE the super tote…I think I need one since I’ll be back to carrying a “diaper-like” bag soon!! 🙂 Nice work, Anna! Happy Mother’s Day to a wonderful mom and SIL!

  33. Renee says:

I finally finished mine (will add a photo to the flickr when I get a chance):

  34. PeppiTheCat says:

  38. I just want to buy this pattern but paypal won’t let me! It keeps saying technical difficulties! Is this an issue on paypal’s end?

    1. Anna says:

should go through now, try again! 🙂

I’m kinda new at this sewing thing….I have made a few bag and a few other small things. I have never made anything that calls for piping so I have no idea how to do it. Is it hard to do? Would this bag be doable for a somewhat beginner? I love this bag and really want to make myself one but I do t want to buy it and it be to hard for me at this point. Thanks in advance for your help!! *Jessica

    1. Anna says:

It’s pretty darn easy! Maybe with a little practice you can have it down pat! I’d say this pattern would be for a confident advanced beginner, possibly intermediate sewist. My runaround bag and 241 tote would be great for a new beginner though!! 🙂

  40. lagimaya says:

Merci pour ce patron que j’ai beaucoup aimé faire , le résultat peut se voir ici :

Thank you for this pattern , it’s very wonderfull

  41. Sheila K. says:

    Hi Anna,
Just finished my Super Tote and tried to send you pictures on Flickr as you asked at the end of the pattern but for some reason I can’t get them to post. I did post one on your FB page. It took a while to make because I was trying to incorporate a lot of different things other people had posted like another outside zippered pocket. Your pattern is so easy to follow & your tutorials online are very clear. Thanks!

  42. Colleen says:

At this point I’m pretty sure I’m just collecting Noodlehead patterns. Gotta have’em! What are you puttin’ in the Kool-Aid, girl?!

  43. Colleen says:

I’m making the first one for my cousin’s wife. She’s just been diagnosed with thyroid cancer after fighting breast cancer for almost 3 years. (Like so many of us, I show my love with handmade prettiness.) She’s the mother of 6 and always on the go. Her oldest tells me she’s a purse and tote kind of a girl and loves showing off her latest finds to fit all of her “mom stuff” in. Thanks again for a phenomenal pattern and for sharing it with us! Incidentally- Noodlehead is the first blog I ever came across. The words “blog” and “tutorial” did not exist in my world before seeing your cute little wallet and pouch tuts. You are very talented and very inspiring! All the best:) – fellow sewist-Colleen

  44. Sara Meza says:

Hi Anna! I’m writting you from Paraguay, I’m in love with your patterns and today I decided to buy this one to try, does the only way to purchase is by Paypal? Cause we don’t have that here 🙁
Do you have a Etsy store or another place where I could use my credit card to pay for it? Thank you.

  45. Hello – fell in love with this tote when I saw one a friend made, so I bought the pattern and made my own. It’s the perfect size and comfortable to carry. I was impressed with how well the pattern pieces fit together and how clear the instructions were. Thank you – I plan to make more of these, they are really fun to put together.

  46. Jill says:

LOve the look of this tote, but I would like something more of a purse size…does this had modifications for size variation?

    1. Anna says:

I’m sorry, there isn’t size modification instructions, but I have seen many people print the pattern at a certain percentage to downsize it (85% or so). Or I have other more purse size patterns in my shop if you want to take a look:

  47. This pattern is en spanish?

  48. Suzie K. says:

I love the color combinations on this. With a little toddler that loves the outdoor, the bag would be great for any season really to bring along all her toys, snacks, books and whatever else you can think of. So pretty.

  49. Linda Lai says:

I can’t stand the tabs on the end of the zipper.

  50. Amber says:

I love your pattern! Can you do a tutorial on how you made the handles for the tote in the first picture. How far did you measure in to do that fold over in the middle?

  51. Marina says:

The link for the Super Tote pattern appears not to work, it’s directing to the Compass bag. Can you correct? Really want to purchase the Super Tote pattern!

    1. Anna Graham says:

Thanks for letting me know, just updated it. You can always shop from the “shop” page on the navigation bar at the top as well. 🙂 Thank you!

  52. Carole Arseneault says:

Love the fabric used for the second bag. Any idea where I can get this fabric?

    1. Anna Graham says:

Hi Carole, you can read more about the fabric in that tote from this post: It’s from a collection called Collage by Carrie Bloomston for Windham fabrics. It’s about 5 years old, so you might be able to still locate some online. 🙂
