another basket another baby

This basket is for a baby who was in the process of being born just yesterday!  Sending thoughts their way, hoping for a healthy and happy baby!

Just like the basket from my last post, but pumped up with a few extra details.  And a few extra goodies inside.  Once I started making stuff I couldn’t stop.  I used scraps from other projects I had made for their nursery, so it was easy to get carried away.  This basket has a front pocket and fancy handles.

Inside are some terry cloth washcloths made with super soft flannel, again some of the Gail burp cloths, and a tiny little flannel receiving blanket, and of course some diapers.

The fabrics are Heather Ross Far Far Away II moons for the exterior and Lizzy House Outfoxed for the lining, I thought it was another match made in heaven.

♥
** Just want to add that I’m going to ask the woman who’s project I based this off of before I might do a tutorial/pattern.  ðŸ™‚  Thanks for all your sweet comments about both of the baskets.

  47. Monica says:

Yay! I saw the chevron fabric at my local fabric shoppe and was reminded how much I loved it on your basket! I want to make one soon 🙂

  48. terrieannie says:

What is the line of fabric that you used for the blanket and washcloths? And would you say that green bracelet fabric is pretty true to color (as best you can tell?) I have purchased the PDF for this divided basket -thank you for putting it together for us. I’ll be sewing up one this weekend!

    1. Anna says:

Hi Terrieannie! My neighbor had actually given me the fabric, so I’m not sure who the manufacturer is, I’m so sorry. And as far as the green bracelet goes, I’d say in these pics it looks a little lighter than it really is. Hope that helps a bit!

    2. Anna says:

Found it! It’s called Forest Friends flannel by northcott, here’s a listing on etsy for some of the collection: http://www.etsy.com/listing/93231859/sale-northcott-forest-friends-flannel

  49. A fabric question. What is the black and white crosshatch fabric you used for bias tape? I heart it deeply! Just bought your pattern and am off to sew 🙂

    1. Anna says:

It’s summersville by lou summers for moda! 🙂 Thanks!!!

    hugs, serafeena

  51. I MADE THIS THIS PAST WEEK! I am very new to sewing and I have to say that this was the easiest tutorial I have followed as of yet. The instructions were clear and easy to follow! The only problem I had was that my exterior ended up being a little bigger than my lining. Next time I will check that before I sew the exterior! MAKING A LOT MORE OF THESE! YOU DID A GREAT JOB PUTTING IT TOGETHER!!!!!

    1. Lea says:

Where did you find the basket pattern / tutorial?

      1. Anna Graham says:

        Hi Lea,
It’s my pattern, you can find it in my shop here: https://www.blog.noodle-head.com/product/divided-basket-pdf-pattern-2 🙂
