This little number is going out to a very special baby girl – one who fought for her life the very first few weeks (and won!). Babies are always so inspiring and this one is no exception.
Sorry for the lack of words in this post, but I would like to say although this quilt might seem complicated with it’s curved pieces, it’s actually quite forgiving.
- Curlicue Crush Quilt Pattern (here’s her list of stockists as well) by Bec from Chasing Cottons (thank Bec!)
- vintage linens purchased from Jeni of In Color Order and In Color Order on etsy (she’s got her shop on vacation now, but she’ll be re-opening soon!)
- backing is Riley Blake, Sew Cherry by Lori Holt, the whole collection at Hawthorne Threads
I love your baby quilt! Love the pattern and fabric.
that is really neat!!! Love the curves and you can never go wrong with vintage sheets!
LOVE IT with the white! i bought this pattern ages ago but haven’t had the will power to plan it all out… with a neutral, i won’t have to!!!
So sweet! I think vintage sheets are perfect for baby quilts since they’re not only pretty but really soft. Going to have to check that pattern out.
what a special quilt for a special baby. Love it Anna!
Oh how beautiful!!
Very pretty! I really like the contrasting white pieces, rather than every piece a print.
Soft and sweet, it is lovely 🙂
I love the fabrics you chose!! I am just finishing up my Curlicue quilt as well and also made it a little smaller I’ll have to try solids mixed in next time.
So nice that the quilt will go to a special little one!
Beautiful quilt. I’m so happy the story has a happy ending, that she fought and won. We take healthy babies and uncomplicated deliveries for granted. Hope things will continue in a good way for her.
Oh my goodness, so pretty Anna! What a sweet gift! So glad to hear there was a happy ending, go Baby!! 🙂
wow, it’s amazing!!!
I am so happy yo hear the baby girl is going to be ok, She will love snuggling with her beautiful quilt. =)

You have become quite the quilter, Anna! Beautiful work on each one. And I love the setting for the photos. Who takes them for you, or do you use a timer?

I’d never have thought it the perfect pattern for a baby quilt – but it is! So very beautiful and sure to be treasured by a precious little one.
Beautiful – I want one!!!! Great job and gorgeous pictures :-). That will be treasured forever!!
Oh Anna, this is so gorgeous! Such pretty pictures, too. Those white flowers are all over the place in our neck of the woods, too. I love them.

Beautiful.
What a lovely quilt!
So in love with this! You know how I feel about vintage fabrics. This quilt makes me swoon! I adore your quilts. Fab job Anna1
This completely took me by surprise! I’ve been drawn to this pattern before, but only have seen it as a big quilt. For me, it’s so much more enticing small. What a sweet gift! So fitting in vintage fabrics.
Anna, I just love it, it is a beautiful baby quilt!!! Love it, Steph
I love it so much I had to post it on pintrest! It’s so easy on the eye – I’d so far only seen this pattern made up in quite busy bright fabrics (which I also loved), but this is so serene looking – perfect for calming a little one!
That’s so pretty! You did a great job!
Love this quilt!! and the field your in is dreamy…!! 🙂
What a glorious way to be introduced to you!
If this isn’t the most gorgeous quilt I’ve ever seen, I don’t know what is….and what a beautiful story to go with it.
I’m looking forward to making regular visits to your special pocket of Blogland.
xx Felicity
