Congrats!! The bag is beautiful! I love how you can see the zippers on the outside when the bag is reversed!!
$7 are you kidding me? With a licence to sell? You’re amazingly generous. I am constantly making bags to donate to auctions and will add this one to my pattern file immediately!!

Agnes
I just finished this bag last night! I love it!!! i really love that my sons sippy cups fit in the side pocket π thanks for another great pattern!!!
LOVE this pattern – on my list of “must get!” Can I make a suggestion for your patterns? You might want to include approximate finished sizes – gives people a better idea of the size. my daughter loves the tote – she’s 14 and into taking a different purse/bag to school every day. Her first question when I asked if she liked it was “how big is it?” LOL

such a great pattern – very easy to follow, even for me who is a total beginner π you can see my bag here
Hi!
It´s midnight here in Berlin and I just finished my 241 bag – which pattern I bought last week.
I love it! To the 2 pockets in the outside I also put 4 more pockets in the inside. Tomorrow with daylight I will make fotos.
Thank you for the wonderful pattern!
Greetings from Berlin, Germany,
Susuko.
I am thinking of buying this pattern but would like to know the finished dimentions first. Can you tell me how big it is?
hey anonymous, I’ve got to print out my pattern pieces and check – gave all my sample bags away! π
okay, sorry it took me sooo long!
approximate finished size:
12″ wide
13″ tall
15″ handle drop
there are nice sized darts that give the bag a nice capacity…
π
I love the shape of this bag. I have just bought and printed the pattern, hope to start sewing tomorrow morning as it’s a bit too late today.
And done. I enjoyed making it very much.
If you’d like to check it out, it’s here: http://quiltmaybe.blogspot.com/2011/09/bags-my-very-third.html
Made my first one and oh so easy. I can see many Christmas gifts being made this year!
I really love this bag! I made it yesterday and LOVE it. The side pockets take keys and spex, the shape is perfect – the little darts make it stand upright, too. Just the right size and length of strap. I am so pleased I bought the pattern, it would have taken years to make without! Worth every penny! I’ve bought the Go Anywhere as well, but I’m going to make another 241 with fabric from deckchairstripes.com. Can’t wait for it to arrive.
I’ve made another two of these – getting really good at it now! – and they look completely different in the different fabrics. My only problem is which one to choose!
I made this bag a few days ago and i love it. plans to make for gifts soon!!! i even blogged about it myself.

That’s a really nice bag, great size too. I will definatly buy one pattern soon π

Just bought the pattern and can’t wait to make it!!
Just saw this via Poppyprint’s blog; I’m on my iPhone now but the next time I’m on a PC, I am definitely buying this pattern!
I came, I saw I bought!!!
very cute bag!
Why can’t one make patterns to sell from this? I don’t understand as there is no copyright on bag patterns.
Hi Toby,
All my patterns include the rights to sell finished items. Is that what you mean?
Do you ever have contests to win patterns? I don’t sell things I make, I make things for myself as sewing has been part of my recovery after a motorcycle accident and I am head over heels over this pattern and could see it as a future diaper bag if we can still have children but as stupid as it sounds, $8 is a fortune for me. I use a lot of old clothes and bed sheets to make bags and clothing for myself and kids. If you ever have a contest, I would love to try to win this pattern. Let me know. Lbherre@yahoo
Great pattern!! Thanks!! I just start sewing one year ago and it help me a lot: http://enganxetada.blogspot.com.es/2013/06/241-tote-bag.html
Just purchased and made this pattern and I love it. Thanks!
3/8 seam allowance throughout? Really?
Yes, that’s correct.
Love this pattern -and several others from you!
I have just sewn one 241 tote with Indish fabrics and I blogged about it for my French readers here : http://quilteuseforever.wordpress.com/2013/09/10/un-sac-de-creatrice/
Thanks!

I just blogged about the 241 tote I made last week after admiring your pattern FOREVER! I made it a little larger than the pattern and it’s my new go-to travel bag π Thanks for a great pattern! You can see it here if you’re interested π http://prettybobbins.com/2013/09/23/quilted-241-tote/
This bag was my Christmas present to my dear sister-in-law this year… Thanks for this nice pattern and easy to follow instructions !

Hi there. Love this bag! Just wondering what type of interfacing you suggest. What sort of thickness/weight? Thanks π
In the pattern I list specifics: Pellon SF101. It’s my favorite interfacing for a casual bag. It’s very durable when combined with a home dec weight fabric, and a little slouchier when fused to a quilting cotton. Both work great though!
Hope that helps!
Awesome, thank you!
Hi again Anna. Sorry to ask you again but the ladies at my local craft/fabric shop were not very helpful! They had a pellon available but not the SF101 that you recommend, it was iron on and about 4 millimeters thick and looked like wadding/batting. They also had iron on interfacing that was very thin. They also had stiffer iron on interfacing as well. Are you able to give me an idea of weight/stiffness that the SF101 is, so I can find something similar?
Thanks π
I should mention that I am in Australia and apparently we don’t have pellon!
Lou, it’s a woven fusible. So it’s much like a cotton broadcloth with a fusible adhesive on one side. Hope that helps!
Thanks π
Hello!
I just made this bag today so awesome I love it!
Blogged it here (down the end) : http://wp.me/p3YqyI-dj
When I printed my pattern out the pocket was too big for the side panel. I cut it down to fit. Just wanted to let you know.
Hi Amy,
The pocket is designed to be bigger. If it’s trimmed to the width of the side panel it’ll be pretty difficult to get things in and out of the pockets. Thanks!
Just made this bag! Very easy to follow instructions. I even added a second pocket to the inside of the bag for more pockets. Thanks for such a great, cute pattern.
LOVE this pattern! Going to make a few of them π
This pattern is great and very easy to follow…just finished one and blogged about it here:
http://deeroodesigns.blogspot.com/2014/06/second-quarter-finish-along-iii.html
Now I’m going to go purchase the Super Tote!
Thanks so much Anna!
Love this pattern;)!
Hi, I have just ordered my pattern , hope I’ll be able to make it within a flash.
For the handles…what size pieces should I cut? I don’t see that anywhere in the directions. Thanks
Hi Stacy, the handle piece is 6″x26″. If you have the paper version of the pattern, it’s listed in the center of the pattern sheet. If you have the PDF it’s listed on page 9. Thanks!
