Just kidding. But I can’t get that song out of my head.
My first project for Kids Clothes Week Challenge going on over at Elsie Marley.
I had gotten the diamond mine voile a while back with intentions of making something for Natalie. She used to love the color red, and now she’s migrating towards pink, but only because all her friends at school love pink.
Turns out she loves it. And I love it.

I omitted the v-notch at the neckline and used a longer pattern piece than the blouse piece. I wanted it to be more of a tunic length, you know, to go with her new jeggings. I love to tease her about her jeggings.
That voile is gorgeous! I love the pattern. I don’t ever wear red (or anything but brown, black, gray, or white for that matter), but that fabric is really tempting. The shirt looks so comfortable. Love the pics in the window, too.
I love it! I totally need to try and Oliver + S pattern.
That looks great! That print is my favorite from the AMH voile line…you would think I would have invested in some by now.
Beautiful! Nice shots too.
this is adorable!! i love it
I love it, too!
And wow, that’s a big window! 🙂
Wow, that is really nice and comfy looking too. She looks good in red. I have some of that print, but couldn’t decide whether it was too much print for a kid’s garment. Clearly it’s not. Thanks for the inspiration!
Ok, I’m going to have to get that pattern. That tunic is just too cool.
looooooooooooooooooooooove that fabric!!
the top looks fantastic!
really cute fabric, makes a gorgeous tunic! your daughter has some great poses too!
oh it’s so pretty. And I love that window. What cool photos!
Cute tunic. Love those Oliver + S patterns. I’m making one of their dresses right now. N looks so cute in that color.
okay, so funny, I have that same voile in my “stash”! My 9 yr old is loving her jeggings too! Such a cute look on the kids!
I want that shirt for me!
Love the red – so pretty!
Beautiful. I bet it’s really comfy to wear, too.
That’s great! I was wondering what pattern you’d used so was surprised when I saw it was the Ice Cream top, it looks completely different without that notch! I’ve been wanting to do the top up in all one fabric as the ones I’ve seen look wonderful, I like it better than the different coloured yoke I did on mine. I’ll definitely have to try it now in a voile except I’d have to do it in pink because Hazel is one of those girls at school who like pink 🙂
LOVE. THIS!!!! So cute, I want one for myself!!!
Really pretty Anna! The tunic is perfect for the jeggings…ha ha. You are such a fun mom.
Gorgeous girl, fabulous fabric, perfect photo. Love, love, love it all!!!
p.s. I NEED a window like that 🙂
You rock Anna! FAb job and I agree with Dana – love the shot with the window in the back! Can’t wait to see what you make next.
What a beautiful shirt and an adorable little girl!! I love red and I love that shirt style. I’m off to browse my fabric stash and my patterns for something like that.
Oh it is so cute! I just adore that print and the ice cream social dress goes so well with it.
Natalie and the top are both so cute!
First of all your daughter is GORGEOUS! Second that shirt turned out so pretty! I love the jeggings as well. 🙂
